Getting Started
- Is registration on this site required?
- You do not have to register to watch movies, but you do need to register to post movie comments, rate movies, add movies to favourites, private message and participate in Forum discussions.
- I registered in the past but cannot log in anymore!
- The most likely reasons for this are: you entered an incorrect username or password. You can retrieve your password by clicking on “forgot your password?” and inserting your email address.
- How do I upload my avatar?
- Click on your profile and look for Edit Profile / Upload picture. Click on the Browse button, select your picture, and then click Upload.
- Are there site rules?
- Yes. The site rules can be accessed from any page. All members must read and abide by them.
Watching movies
- I cant watch ANY movies! Please visit the "How to watch movies page, or try the following
- In order to watch movies, you must download and install:
- 1) DivX Plugin: http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/webplayer/
- 2) Flash Plugin: http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer
- 3) FireFox Browser: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
- Whenever I click a link nothing happens, or I get an error message.
- We use pop-up windows to play videos, so you must disable any pop-up blocking program. If you use Symantec/Norton products (Norton Internet Security, Norton AntiSpam or Norton Personal Firewall), and others: 1. In the main window, on the left side click Norton AntiSpam. 2. Click Ad Blocking, and then click Turn Off. 3. Click Pop-up Blocking, and then click Turn Off.
- The movie doesn’t play continuously; it starts and stalls every few seconds.
- It is possible you have slow internet connection or are watching a video at peak traffic time. Certain free hosts will restrict bandwidth at peak time in favour of those using their paid subscription accounts, or those users within their domestic markets IP range. Pause the video and allow it to buffer for a while before resuming. If the problem is severe, try again at a different time of day or try a different link.
- I have a link to a movie, how do I post it?
- We appreciate you taking the time to share your links with the community. In order to submit a link you must be logged in to your user account. In your user-tab click on “submit link” and follow the instructions
- How do I report a broken link or if a link goes to a movie other than the one listed?
- Click on the Report broken link under the appropriate version to issue your report. You may include a short comment with your report indicating the reason for the report. The Report button is to be used for reporting broken links or links to the wrong movies only and no other technical issue. Users who violate the report button for the wrong purpose will be banned.
- How do I rate the quality of the movie links versions?
- Each movie link will have its own 5 star rating system. You can move your mouse over the respected 5 stars for that movie and choose the selected rating based on the movie quality. Users who violate this option and provide false rating will be banned.
- How do I play megavideo.com videos after 72 minutes?
- You can get an account from them, which is the easiest or can also open the video in another browser (if you watched in Internet Explorer, load the video in Firefox), and keep watching. Another good way is to let the entire video buffer until the end, and after it does, select "Work Offline" in your browser's File menu, at the top. Finish watching the movie in Offline mode. You can also use http://proxy-online.org/ after you watch the first 72 minutes, then paste the url of the video on the proxy site, and go back to the point where you finished watching, you can always come back the following day and finish it, or you can choose a different link from a different host.
